Navigating the Meal Planner
Planning ahead makes it easier to prepare and eat great meals throughout the week. With Samsung Food Meal Planner, you can map out what you'll cook during the week, turn your meal plan into a shopping list, and even get ingredients delivered right to your door.
Your Meal Plan is always accessible straight from the home screen. Just tap the calendar icon at the bottom of the screen to get started.
Once you do that, you will be redirected to the Meal Planner. Our Meal Planner banner has four tabs to help you stay organized:
- Plan -Your weekly meal planner with all scheduled meals.
- For You - Personalized meal plans based on your preferences.
- Queue - Your saved meals for later (previously "Unscheduled Meals").
- Previous - A history of all your previously planned meals.
Plan
The Plan tab is where you can see your weekly meal plan. From here, you can:
- Select a date and week to view your scheduled meals.
- Share, save, or clear scheduled meals
- Change the start date of your meal plan
- Add meals to any day of the week.
Queue (previously "Unscheduled Meals")
When a recipe is not assigned to a specific day, it will be added to the Queue tab for future weeks. This gives you the flexibility to schedule a recipe for any day at any time.
Once a new recipe is added to the Queue, you will see a red dot on the tab, indicating that a new recipe has been added.
Previous
Curious to see the recipes you’ve planned in the past? We've made that easy! Simply click on the Previous tab, and all the recipes you’ve ever added to your Meal Planner will be one click away.

How can I change my Meal Planner start date?
You can change the day your meal plan starts within our native Android and iOS apps, but not in our Web App (app.samsungfood.com).

2. Select Change Start Day.
3. Choose your new start day and tap Done.

- From your Saved recipes or a Community, tap the three-dot menu on a recipe tile.
- Select Add to Meal Plan.
- Choose a specific day to schedule it, or tap Done to save it in Queue for later.
How to Turn Your Meal Plan into a Shopping List
After you've added recipes to your meal plan, it's easy to create a shopping list with all the ingredients you need.
To add your entire meal plan to a shopping list:
-
Tap the list button at the bottom of your screen.
-
Select Add Plan to Shopping List.
To add individual recipes to your shopping list:
- Tap the three-dot menu on any recipe tile or long-press the recipe tile to open the menu.
-
Select Add to shopping List.
With a shopping list that you can share with family and friends and sort by recipe or by aisle, getting ingredients for your meal plan is a snap. Plus, if you decide to add your items to your shopping cart, you can choose to have a local retailer deliver them right to your door.
How to Share Your Meal Plan
Share your meal plan with others to collaborate on what’s for dinner. To share the Meal Planner you need to use the iOS or Android app:
- Tap the three-dot menu in the top right corner of Plan tab.
- Select Share Plan and invite others.
Notes:
If someone else in your household manages the meal plan, they should be the one to share it.
When others join your Shared Meal Plan, it will replace their individual meal plans.
If a collaborator wants to go back to their individual meal plan, remove them or disable collaboration mode.
