You can connect your Samsung Account to your Samsung Food account only on Android (Galaxy) devices. We do not currently support this on iOS devices.
Follow the process based on your account setup. First, verify that your email address matches the one linked to your Samsung Food account and your Samsung account. Here are the steps.
- On your Samsung device, open Smartthings App
- Tap on the Menu icon at the bottom right
- Tap on the Gear icon at the top right

It will show your Samsung account email address.
- Validate if your email address is the same as for Samsung Food
- If your email address is the same, then follow the steps below
- If your email address differs, follow the steps outlined here. Be aware that this process will create a new Samsung account separate from your current one on your device.
- If you log in to Samsung Food using Google, follow the steps provided here. Like the previous procedure, if the email address is different, this will also result in a new Samsung account.
Your Samsung Account and Samsung Food Account Use the Same Email
You already have a Samsung Account and a Samsung Food account using the same email.
To connect:
- Log out from your Samsung Food account.
- Open the Samsung Food app and tap “Continue with Samsung Account”
- Tap “Connect now”
- That’s it - your accounts are now linked!
Your Samsung Account and Samsung Food Account use different emails
To connect:

Log out of SmartThings :
- Open Smartthings App.
- Tap on the Menu icon at the bottom right
- Tap on the Gear icon at the top right
- It will show your Samsung account email address.
- Tap on your email address
- Scroll down to the bottom and tap the "Sign out" button
- Follow the steps
- Log out of your Samsung Food account.
- Open Samsung Food and tap “Continue with Samsung Account”
- Tap “Connect now”
- On the next screen, tap “Forgot password or don’t have an account”
- Tap “Create account”
- Enter your Samsung Food email address and follow the prompts.
- You’ll now log in with your original Samsung Food email - this will also become your Samsung Account.
Note: This Samsung account will be used in SmartThings, too.
You Sign in to Samsung Food with Google
You’re using Google to log in to Samsung Food, and want to create a Samsung Account with the same email.
To connect:
- Log out of SmartThings using your Samsung Account.
- Log out of Samsung Food.
- Open the app and tap “Continue with Samsung Account”
- Tap “Connect now”
- Tap “Sign in with Google”
- Select the Google account that matches your Samsung Food login
- Follow the steps, and you're done!
Note: This new Samsung account will also be used in SmartThings.
Need us to merge your accounts for you?
If your saved recipes aren’t showing, they may still be stored under your previous Samsung Food login.
We can merge your Samsung Food account with your Samsung Account so you can access all of your previously saved recipes.
Before you submit a request, you'll need to:
- Create a new Samsung Food account using your Samsung Account email
- Verify it using the link sent to your inbox
Once that's done, fill in the form below, and our team will take care of the merge.
You can still log in without a Samsung Account, but this option is only available on our Web App at https://app.samsungfood.com
